A Way Home Together uses the intimate medium of podcasting to tell the moving, emotional and deeply human stories of individual migrants and refugees.
In our first season, host Ahmed Badr (himself a refugee from Iraq), speaks to members of his own family (including his 14-year old sister) and interviews other young refugees and migrants—Ahmed Baban (Iraq, 16), Espoir Nindeba Eapoir (Congo, 19), and Mariam Abuamer (Palestine, 24).
Their voices, laughter and emotional honesty are examples of how A Way Home Together can help build a new narrative about migrants who share their hopes and dreams. Instead of hearing about them in a distant or abstract way, the audience gets up close and personal with people who in many ways are just like them.
Season 1 will be released on International Migrants Day, December 18th, 2017. Episodes will be available on iTunes and other major podcasting platforms.
